Blog #4- Revolution Article

1.No paintings of the Revolution detailed the horrible atrocities committed, while Civil War pictures accurately depicted bodies on the battlefield and soldiers viciously attacking each other.

2.The Revolution was America's longest declared war, lasting more than eight years. The estimated number of people killed was three million. One in sixteen males in the military died in the Revolution.

3.Forty-seven percent of the Continental army soldiers taken as prisoners in the Revolution perished while only twelve-fifteen percent of prisoners in the Civil War died.

4.The civil war weapons were much more deadly than the ones from the revolution; the civil war guns could shoot up to 6 times more than the revolutionary ones.

5.Soldiers being desperate for clothing during the Revolutionary War, the victorious party of a battle would often steal the clothes off of the backs of those that had been defeated. This was not practiced during the Civil war.

USA flag. This relates to the civil and revolutionary war because without the battles, and knowledge we gained our country wouldn't be the same.
